In the solar system, there are eight major planets, namely Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. They are divided into two categories based on their distance from the sun: inner planets and outer planets.

Mercury - due to its rapid movement, it was called Mercury in ancient Europe, meaning the fast running messenger god in ancient Roman mythology
Venus - is the second planet outward from the sun
Earth - the third planet away from the Sun and the only known celestial body to nurture and support life
Mars - the fourth closest planet to the Sun and the second smallest planet in the solar system after Mercury
Jupiter - the fifth closest planet in the solar system to the Sun, and also the largest planet in the solar system in terms of volume
Saturn ranks sixth in the distance to the Sun in the solar system
Uranus - the seventh planet in the solar system from the inside out, ranking third in volume and fourth in mass, almost lying horizontally orbiting the sun
Neptune - with a mass of 17.147 Earth mass and a radius of 3.86 Earth radius
