4 Ways To Manage Stress At Work

Workplace is a place that you spend almost half of your time and it is very normal for a person to feel stressed. Initially, the workplace environment may feel really good but after a few months it can freak you out. A person feel like a robot coming to office daily at fix time and working for straight 8hrs or 9hrs and leaving in the evening. So becomes really hard for a person to maintain its patience, unless he/she has got its own business to run (motivation comes in). Personally I feel if you truly want to enjoy your life and don’t want to take stress and pressure then job is the way to go. In job you are very dependent but you will all the time in the world to enjoy and truly feel happiness in your life.



Reach Out 


A person may get very easily stressed by continuous work and pressure, so it becomes very important for a person to reach out to other people and share its feelings and thoughts. According to a study, sharing your stress can greatly help your brain to regain energy and efficiency. Sharing your problem with others can get you some help in solving a certain problem. Reaching out is mutually beneficial as it helps to build a strong relationship by exchanging values. Also it doesn’t need for the other person to be a problem solved, a good listener will do the work.


Health, Nutrition and Exercise 


The most important thing in your life that will be with you until your death is your body. So Don’t you think your body needs some extra cushioning? A healthy person will always have more capability to work. It doesn’t matter how physically or mentally intensive a work is, if you have good health, proper nutrition and exercise then let the problems come in because you have got enough power to handle it. By good health you have raised your threshold to another level. Also don’t forget about the sleep. Sleep is one of the most important part of maintaining good and healthy body.  




Priortise and Manage 


Daily you are assigned some tickets to work on and you need to finish that by the end of the day. So prioritising your tasks and activities becomes really really important. You need to prioritise your work instead of resolving other’s problem first else you will be overworking but with the same paycheck. I am not asking you to not help others at all, help them out if you can and if time allows it. If you know how to manage your actions and tasks then you are most probably going to have a great time else you will become more stressful and upset all day. Learn how to manage your day and all activities in it to have a fulfilled and happy day.


Disconnect Yourself Once You are Done 


Disconnecting yourself from work once you have completed it, can greatly help you to focus on your life goals and live a fulfilled life. For most of the people(including me) it becomes really hard to really mentally disconnect yourself from the work even if it is completed. I don’t exactly know what could be the reason but I know for sure that it is not helping. Personally, I try to disconnect from work as much as I can but internet comes in and it makes you conscious about the work that you have done. It is not a bad feeling though but it isn’t inspiring.

The last part is my favorite. I love getting through the day with hard earned work, and feeling like i accomplished something. But the drive home is so so much more satisfying.
