It was hard for us to ignore it

Our nearest neighbor was nearly half a mile away. The town had a population of about 25 people. The most 'in our face' example was a day we went to town, after almost a month.

We were walking down a sidewalk when my wife staggered. She suddenly complained of a lot of pain, but it was 'weird' pain. Not like truly physical pain and she could feel that it was somehow 'better today.' She looked ahead of us and about 100 feet away a man was slowly coming toward us. You could see he was having difficulty walking.

My wife stopped him, asked him how his pain was. The guy was surprised to be stopped by strangers and admitted his pain was 'better today' then it had been for a while. He was still in a lot of pain though. My wife gave him a hug for a moment and told him to have a better day.

He didn't limp away, he actually walked properly, as if his pain had been lessened. Amazing really.

Another Incident, Difficult to Ignore

We moved to Colorado 6 years ago. The first week we were unpacking, my wife was carrying a box down the hallway and again she staggered. This time she complained it felt like a massive heart attack. Again, the pain was not hers and it faded within 15-20 minutes. We had no idea what it was about and forgot about it.

2 weeks later we hear pounding next door. Looking out the window we see guys in construction crew vests, knocking on the door and windows and walls of the house of our neighbor. He'd been on vacation and didn't show up for work that day. Wasn't answering his phone either.

Coroner comes out and finds the guy had a MASSIVE heart attack and had been dead nearly 2 weeks.

Yeah, we're pretty sure my wife is VERY empathic. lol The cities were INSANE for us, all that angst and high emotion from our neighbors for miles. Wow.

Wow, that's some serious empathy! Thanks for sharing those stories.

Yw, definitely crazy stuff :)
