Supreme blank tees found in Kmarts across the U.S.
Supreme has found itself being bought and sold in many different places: eBay, Grailed, Twitter, even Instagram. But Kmart?
About two days ago, social started buzzing about how reddit user CokeSlurpees had discovered a pile of Supreme blank shirts at his local Kmart, each being only $4 a piece. That's right, $4 for a Supreme shirt.
Now you might be asking yourself, how the hell did Supreme find its way into a Kmart? As you might have noticed from the Kmart tag, the shirt is branded as American Apparel. American Apparel actually provides the blank tees to Supreme for printing, but since the company is going out of business, the 'Preme tees were liquidated to Kmart instead. Thus, chaos ensued as Supreme enthusiasts everywhere scrambled to their local Kmarts in hopes of finding treasure--including me.
I certainly did not have the luck that many Twitter and reddit users have had, considering that I drove hours from Kmart to Kmart and found nothing but tees and long sleeves with cut Supreme tags. After utter disappointment, I decided to buy a long sleeve with a cut tag as a consolation prize, where an afterimage of the box logo is somewhat visible.
I went so far as to follow up with each Kmart the next morning, calling each store about the tees but to no avail, no luck. Sold out. Perhaps you will have much more luck than I have had, and considering that many blanks are being resold at around $30 a piece it might just be worth a shot to check out your local Kmart.
