The Cenotaph, London.
It will not look like this on Sunday.
Sittuated at Whitehall, City of Westminster. London, SW1. It was designed by Edwin Lutyens and made from Portland stone. Built between 1919 and 1920.
The word Cenotaph was first associated with a design for Gertrude Jekyll in 1890. Gertrude's father was friends with Robert Louis Stevenson. Now you know where the Jekyll part of his famous book comes from.
