Porta Macedonia - Triumphal Arch in Skopje
The Porta Macedonia or Macedonian Gate is a triumphal arch located in the Pella Square in Skopje, Macedonia. Construction began in 2011 and was completed in January 2012. The arch is 21 meters high. It is dedicated to the 20 years of independence of the Republic of Macedonia and its outer surface is covered with 193 m2 of reliefs sculpted in marble, representing scenes from the history of Macedonia.
