Hidden Monkey Tea Rooms
There's nothing more quaint than a little tea and coffee shop in a picturesque market town, in this case Malton in North Yorkshire. The Hidden Monkey Tea rooms have been here for ever with their quirky little shop serving the most traditional of fayre, tea and cakes!
It's rather twee in a tongue in cheek kind of way...
ahhh gawd save the Queen bless 'er....but I have to say, they do sell extremely delicious home made cakes...
No,of course you can't eat the woollen ones....hmmmm I wonder if any of the #needleworkonmonday ladies made those, it is a particularly fine display of three tiered bone china cake stands though!
and if your name is Violet, a free pot of tea....but don't forget your ID. Those old dears are proper fiddlers thus there will be no cheating in this establishment!
My old Mum loves it here, so sometimes I have to suck in my cheeks and just take her in. Despite it not being my kind of place, I'm glad cafes like this still exist.

Nothing beats an old fashioned cup of tea. I studied in the Uk for a while and you’ll become a tea lover quite quick ;) Some pretty sweet tea rooms are out there with great vibes.
yes, I know I mock a little but it's quaint and chilled and they just cast you back to simpler times! I guess when you studied here, the first thing everyone did was offer you a cup of tea!
