Strategy Developing : Cobra Effect

Greetings to all , it was a pretty crazy week when we consider the prices. Everyone were making plans to get some financial freedom. However sometimes when we are building strategies and roadmaps the outcome might be slighlty different than we expected. Todays phenemenon is about it , In one side british people giving money to Indians inorder to get rid of cobra's and on the other side Indians producing more cobras in order to maintain this new market and job.

Systems Thinking and Cobra Effect

The main idea behind the Cobra Effect is pretty simple if something you intervened becomes a bigger and more annoying problem than before.

The location is Indıa and we are in Delhi the place is super crowded dervishes , british soldiers , beggers , Yeah you guessed it right at that times India was British Colonie

However there was a 1 problem that terrifies British people and that was the poisonious cobras wandering around everywhere in the city. Obviously some plan making master genious british created an equation in his mind and said India = Poor we have lots of money so lets give them to kill all the cobras so we don't have to deal with them.

In the beggining campaign they started works perfectly however Indians escaleted their Cobra game and said themselves Who is going to go to forest to hunt Cobras ? Meh ! Lets just build a farm and start a business they pay to death cobras anyway. Eventually they started to breed cobras and start to earn those british money ! Money were flowing.

Eventually british people understood that they were getting scammed and in order to prevent cobra production and to not to feel fool they stopped this campaign.
So outcome was quite different , Indians said that well if we are not going to earn single dime from these cobras just release all the cobras. Tragicly funny but cobra population increased remarkably after british's cobra campaign and they couldn't decrease cobra population and this is called the Cobra Effect

There is a reason why we have such progress based plans eventhough we are going to develop a strategy for a simplest things. As you can clearly see from the example above if you don't think and develop your plan and strategy accordingly the smallest thing can change the out come and the success of your project so think wisely and include everything in to your future plans.
