DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GAS COOKER AND ELECTRIC HOT PLATE

If you are shopping for a new stove for kitchen, there are number of varieties of ranges available today, both electric and gas. Electric ranges can can be coil and smooth-top or induction. Both gas and electric smooth-top ranges are good choices, with plenty of appealing advantages, as well . If you are interested to know the difference between gas cooker and electric hot plate
and their advantage and disadvantage. This article will help you take a look at both type to help determine which type of stove suitable for your kitchen.

Gas Cooker

According to wikipedia, A gas stove is a cooker which is uses natural gas, propane, butane, liquefied petroleum gas etc.
Gas cooker today are classified into manual and ignition types. This cooking stove have advantage that it was easily adjustable and could be turned off when not in used.

Advantage

  1. When it comes to precise temperature control, gas cooker have a clear advantage than electric hot plate.

  2. In terms of speed in cooking, gas cooker is a bit faster because electric hot plate needs to warm up, whereas the heat from from a gas cooker is immediate once you turn on the flame. for home owners who really enjoy cooking, this is a big pluses.

  3. The cost of operating a gas cooker is noticeably less than that of Electric hotplate. You save more using gas cooker.

Disadvantage

  1. in terms of cost, gas cooker are a bit little more expensive than electric hot plate and it is the most immediate drawback.

  2. Releasing of gas into the air if the burner doesn't on immediately and it is a big problem if a burner gets left on but unlit.

Electric Hot plate

According to wikipedia, a hotplate is a portable self-contained tabletop small appliance that features one, two or more electric heating elements.
it can be used as a stand alone appliance. It is often used for food preparation, generally in location where a kitchen stove would not be convenient.

Electric hotplate comes in two types coil and smooth-top or induction.

Advantage

  1. Electric range have advantage of heating faster

  2. They are fairly easy to operate and less expensive to purchase and install.

  3. An electric hotplate also offers the most stable work surface for pots and pans.

  4. the glass top can be easy wipe clean of most spills, no need to remove a burner ring or wipe up a hardened spill from on top a gas nozzle.

Disadvantage

  1. They cook food more slowly than gas cooker do.

  2. Absent of electricity will make your stove inoperable during those times.

  3. The use of electricity will cost you more to operate this stove.

The choice is yours, look to your lifestyle and comfort level with the stove to help make the right decision for you.

I'll go for an electric cooker when I have access to constant power supply

You cant be using prepaid meter and also keep using Electric cooker, that will be a big error for someone.... Lol ( disadvantage )

Would have love to use gas but e dey too consume power.. More power = more bills
