The different raiser: a story by rest city.

Six girls were walking all together on the way home from school, talking about the assembly they just had.

“I’m thinking, what should we do for the fundraiser?” Tomeka asked the rest.

“Hmmm… maybe we should do car washes like last year.” said Jessine, taking the lollipop she’d been eating since gym out of her mouth for once.

“I can’t believe they didn’t notice you eating that in Gym, I would’ve been caught the moment I unraveled the rapper.” Tasaline said to Jessine.

The girls laughed, knowing exactly what that would look like. Tasaline’s homeroom teacher was super strict and had a mean face. The moment she caught that lollipop unraveling she would have swiped it right out of Tasaline’s hand leaving her with an oval-shaped mouth and a lollipop wrapper.

“We’ll at least it’s not a fundraiser for the school,” Lazy said happily. “We just have to write a report about the fundraiser we’re doing and the cause it’s for.”

All of them understood why Lazy would be happy about that. She hated school and didn’t want to fund anything the school had in mind.

“Well, maybe we'll figure out what we're going to do tomorrow, but for now-” Gem, one of the only two girls that had been quiet raced up the small hill they had walked by to her house, which sat at the top.
