It was a long shot, but maybe these primitive humans would receive the gist of his transmission and send help. It was the last hope for both his people and theirs. It flickered across the night sky for a full minute. Unfortunately, all the Earth-dwellers' eyes were on their phones.

How many messages do we miss every single day? Guess we'll never know for sure...

This story's random word was "transmission".
