"Run First, Ask Later" - A Story in 50 Words
The apocalypse wasn't all bad, especially if you'd been fed up with civilization for some time and had amassed some useful skills and resources. When the first space ships appeared, he'd slipped quietly away from the selfie-snapping crowds and driven to the forest. The log cabin would be safe. Temporarily.
I'm not ready for The End Of The World As We Know It. The old version of me who was like 90% lean muscle had a better chance of survival but much has changed since then 😅. I'd have to outsmart the aliens/zombies/whatever instead of outrunning them if I wanted to live. With any luck, I won't ever need to try.
This story's random word was 'log'.
