Emyls and the Mirror (Part 6)

It wasn't until the early hours of the morning that Emlys found sleep, so he woke up late. As he was tidying up his room after his bath, the Prince stormed in.

Idiot, the prince shouted. What are you still doing in your room at this time? Don't you know your day starts at cock crow?
Working for the prince really requires patience, Emlys thought. He prayed that he would find the patience that he needs , for he could not afford to loose his job.

Emlys did all his chores at best he could, but the prince kept raining abuses on him as if he were doing no work. It was a relief when Lancelot left him in the palace to go hunting.
A short while later, the king sent for him.

Your majesty, Emyls greeted bowing.
Emyls how are you finding your stay in this place?, the King asked
Splendid my King, Emyls responded.

If you continue to do things right, I shall reward you greatly, the King said.
