THE RAINMAKER'S REVENGE-part two
Together, the two women walked up the hill. When they reached the top, ‘Wuon koth' stopped, and turned to look down on simbi. The widow watched and listened as ‘Wuon Koth’ began to sing. At first she sang her usual rainmaking song, and as she did so, the rain began to fall:
‘let it rain, let it rain,'
‘let it rain, again, again'
Oh rain, make the air cool,
Oh rain, make our roofs rattle,
Oh rain, make the maize grow,
And fatten up our cattle!!
‘let it rain, let it rain'
‘let it rain again, again!!'

In simbi, the men joyfully swigged beer from their calabashes, the women laughed and sang, and the children danced in the wonderful rain....But then ‘Wuon koth' began to sing again, it was almost the same song, but this time the words were new and terrible..
‘Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain again, again'.!!
Now the people give their thanks,
Let the river burst its banks,
‘Let it rain again****’!
Flood their compounds, flood their streets,
‘Let it rain again'!
Still it's only just begun,
Pour and drown them, everyone!
‘Let it rain again',
Flood their houses, flood their town,
Let them struggle, let them drown,
‘Let it rain again',
‘****Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain again, again'!!.
Four hours on end, the rain came down. The people's joy turned first to anxiety, then to fear, and finally terror. The water grew higher and higher. In despiration, some of the people climbed onto the roofs of their houses, but it was no good; not a single person managed to escape.

You can still see the place today, near ‘kendu bay on lake victoria'. The place is called ‘Simbu Nyaima'
It is said that ‘Wuon koth' gave her rainmaking powers to the Abaluhya people. Today, if there is a drought, the elders of the luo offer the Abaluhya people gifts to persuade them to make rain..

Moral lesson, be your ‘brothers keeper'. Never turn away anyone because they don't suite your taste. You never know if they are God's sent. Thanks for reading....I am @vickyrich a true @euronation member....one love and stay blessed.!!
