Pearlescent Poems # 15: The Showering Well (Original Poem)

Nobody knew what happened, in the depths of the previous nights

Upon today, along the shores ran children with all of their kites
Families spread out once more again along the sandy coasts

Fire camps were set with grills prepared for fresh hot roasts

Nearby the grassy meadows, an old well built to last

A special fountain sprouted beautiful streams through iron casts
Angels with bugles, flowers that drooped low, and birds swooping after their fish

This fountain old well took truckloads of coins that gathered from everyone's wish

A boy so bored, a few days before, saw a gold medallion and reached

He stole the coin, his family rejoined, unknowing the curse he had breached
A moment later, came thick misty vapor, then the ocean opened up and screeched

A giant wave, crashed down and then gave a blue whale now there on the beach

Families took photos and some wanted solos, but the gathering crowds were on rise
Nobody had noticed, the whale was so bloated, they thought, That's its natural size
Without any warning, the seagulls were swarming, the whale maxed a towering swell

The body exploded, the deadliest moment, when it's raining and showering whale...
