They make money because there is so little competition. Most people are dimwits and just write comments like "why is this making money" when they could be trying to make money. So the people who actually try actually win. Seems unfair doesn't it?
Don't be so hard affiliate :) I could have published this under my own (unknown) name (with zero followers) and it will get no upvotes or attention. Platforms are used by unknown people (like me) until celebrities come in and get all the followers. It's a tale as old as social media :)

Or someone quietly figured it out years ago and now there's just an empty address with an interesting transaction history. ;p
