Dairy of Proverbs: African Series
This one is quite deep and reflects in virtually all areas of our endeavours. I think we all need to ponder on it and make sense from its wisdom therein.
Original Proverb: Only a fool tests the depth of a river with both feet.
Meaning: You don’t jump straight into a situation without thinking about it first.
Personal Insight: The need to first think and rethink before taking crucial decisions or venturing into certain situations can not be over-emphasised.
For example, the lack of full insights or clarity about some financial investments and business opportunities have cost quite a number of people some considerable loss especially when they go all-in and something wrong happens.
I have been a victim. In 2016, I lost a lot of cash to some crypto fraudsters. They sort of guaranteed a whooping and impossible ROI within a short time (just one month) but unfortunately, I lost everything when this website and this one shut down! It was really painful!
Now, I lost because I invested so much (all my savings) in something I knew little or nothing about!
Bottom line: Do loads of study to ascertain authenticity before investing.

Also, do not delve in completely or jump in absolutely into decisions before thinking through.
