About six minutes later, the engine of Efosa's mother's sleek honda civic roared to a halt in the compound. He drew the curtains and grinned.
Mummy is back! he screamed and he let his arms slap against his ribs and lower abdomen. Osaro said nothing, he simply went on munching the fried rice as if that was the only thing he knew how to do. The main door swung open and my mother swept her tender body into the room.
Efosa, she screamed. Are you back? with her voice laced with what could be described as fear or agitation, it was obvious that she was worried about something, a thing no one had an idea of, where is your brother, she asked her first son.
Efosa smacked his lips and pointed towards the dining table. Oh, my God, this boy has killed me she said as her hands went up to her bosom, her eyes peered out of their sockets and it was obvious that she was trembling with fright and her first Son wondered what the problem could be.
Osaro, the mother screamed as she took a dive for the dish he was eating from, she yanked the chicken off his oily hands and she went off like a frightened bird. Her legs ferried her madly to the guest room. Efosa curiously followed her wondering what it was that had come over his mother, Osaro was still living his finger at the dining table looking shocked as well at their mother's behaviour.
She dashed into the toilet in the guest room and hurled the food into the toilet dish, Efosa watched her flush the remaining food away with haste.
Heaving, she dashed back into the sitting room, her lace material slapping against her tender legs, what could be the problem Efosa wondered.
