Two postcards from the archive.

A little late, but I want to introduce you two postcards from the archive of my grandmother.
August 1 had two great outstanding naturalist of French and Russian.
Lamarck, Jean Baptiste Pierre Antoine was born in 1744.

For the first time Lamarck, long before Darwin,
created the theory of historical development of living nature.
He believed that plants and lower animals
gain their shape and properties under the influence
air, humidity, heat or cold, soil and food.
And he believed that signs,
who have acquired any organisms vegetable or animal world,
inherited.

Sechenov, Ivan Mikhailovich was born 1829.

Sechenov, founder of Russian physiological school,
the Creator of the natural-scientific direction in psychology.
He formulated the basic principles of human thinking.
His disciple and friend K. A. Timiryazev wrote,
none of the modern
he physiologists not "had such wide coverage in the field of their
own research".
