How I Lost My Virginity (a true story told in free verse)

I lost my virginity playing scrabble
There was also wine
and a temporary tattoo

She was 27 and I was 19
She had a serious boyfriend
so I assumed we were just friends

The board was full of letters
and we were full of wine
She held up a tattoo of a smiling banana

"Come on" she said pulling me into her bathroom
"Where should I put it" she giggled
She explored my body for placement options
Playing hot and cold with my nervous reactions

She got down on her knees
and hiked up my shirt
"What about here" she teased
pressing the tattoo near my belly button

She twisted her body toward the sink
and wet a face cloth with warm water
"Your pants are going to get soaked" she warned
as she sponged the cloth against my abs

"Here" she resolved
undoing my belt and my fly
Together we shuffled off my jeans
Just so they wouldn't get wet

"Nice Calvin Klein's" she noticed
"pretty sexy gotch for a newbie"
She pealed down the elastic
exposing my masculine cleavage

She pressed the tattoo onto my skin
and started to rub with both hands
The smiling bananas began to grow
and I realized what was happening
