2 Lumberjacks Deep in the Woods Chopping Trees - (Motivational Story) - [A Must Read]
There were 2 lumberjacks deep in the woods both chopping trees. The first lumberjack was constantly chopping away & not wasting any time! He continued chopping as much as he could and took no breaks at all, he was very determined to keep chopping away...
The second lumberjack was chopping just as hard, only he was taking breaks every hour and then coming back and continuing to chop his trees.
The first lumberjack could not understand how the second lumberjack was managing to chop down more than double the amount of trees than he was chopping even though he was not taking any breaks in-between.
On the second day - the first lumber jack tried even harder to chop more trees than the second lumberjack giving it all he had while the second lumberjack was still taking breaks and still chopping more than double the amount of trees than he was and he could not understand why!
So at the end of that second day,
he walked over to the second lumberjack and asks him
"How is it that you are chopping down more than double the amount of trees than I am and you keep taking breaks?
The second lumberjack responds with
"Well I keep taking breaks to sharpen my axe" :)
The first lumberjack then realized why the second lumberjack was chopping trees down faster, not because he was working harder, but because he was coming back to work sharer!
In life we can become so busy with our work, goals and life in general... and we can forget to take some time out to relax, spend time with our loved ones, reflect and grow both mentally & spiritually so that we can then come back renewed and sharper!
