I agree with you on the economic value of that poli-sci degree (Government major @ UT here), but it does give you some great knowledge on interpreting what these shitheads are up to.
It's really unfortunate that poly sci is so misunderstood. It's not about politics, but about how institutions are organized, so like you say, it is good for interpreting what the shitheads are up to.
