Mirusha waterfalls are part of a park especially important natural, scientific, cultural and tourist. According to the IUCN, the area belongs "Protected Landscape", while the River Mirusha belongs "Natural Monument". 

In this park, river Mirusha his course passes through a nozzle which is known as the Canyon of Mirusha river and here creates 12 waterfalls and 16 lakes that present a rare phenomenon-hydrological morfo.

Mirusha waterfalls were declared a Regional Nature Park in 1982/83 by Kline and Orahovac municipality, already inherited from Malisheva the area of 555.80.70. While the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in 2012 issued a decision to declare the Mirusha Falls Nature Monument in Importance with total surface area of 598.4

Monument nature of special importance "Mirusha waterfalls" at a distance of about 300 m from Canyon Lakes Mirusha one hotel was built with strong material that is contrary to the principles of nature protection. The investor does not possess professional opinion and building permit from the authorities of the MESP

Mirusha Canyon is one of nature's most interesting areas of Kosovo. Mirusha River at the bottom of its flow passes through a nozzle which is known as Mirushë River Canyon. In this part of the canyon are 16 waterfalls and lakes that make up the attractive canyon
