Being an employee of action this festive season

“We are in the generation were employers are tired of just talking and complaining employees but want employees of action. Employees should be able to see a problem then take an action to fix it’’. Says, Monica Mwesigye, a manager of Owen and Sons Company in Buikwe district.

She adds that some employees think that they have a lot of time by thinking I will do that tomorrow when I have this or when that one is around.

“That mind set is very wrong. Do not wait until very thing is perfect and the idea condition. When people are complaining, the employees should find marketable solutions for the company.” She explains.

Mwesigye also says that ideas alone do not bring success but it is so important to put different important ideas into action. You may have the smartest ideas ever but without action, they are nothing.

She adds that employees should always live in the present; they should stop bothering themselves on what they have not done or what they have done yesterday. They should live in the present and focus on what they can do today for the company. When everything of today is done, then focus on what you can do tomorrow.

Bridgette hyancith, a professional consultant and the author of the book future of leadership, says that some employees fear to execute their ideas into action for fear to make mistakes. Using action to take away your fears is very important.

“When you execute your ideas, fears disappear and you start facing the reality. These actions in the long run will bring developments in the company. He explains.

Bridgette also says that over thinking makes most employees fail to execute their ideas into action. When you think, you fear. As long as your idea at the company or work place does not make you sleep, act immediately.

“Acting employees are always noticeable either for themselves when they have things done or for the managers in the companies by seeing them as high profile performers at the work place.” She adds.

Bridge says that employees of action are always humble. No one likes employees who boost or brag about their ideas. Employees of action prove that their ideas are important through hard work rather than words.

She also adds that positivity is so important if the employee wants to execute their different ideas at the work place. They should always be optimistic that their ideas are important and the boss will embrace them to solve problems in the Organisation.

“Employers desire workers, who can recognize problems, come up with ideas to solve them and execute solutions. The more precious they help solve problems, they more precious they become to the Organisation.
