Street Party Experience During Previous Sinulog Festival in Cebu

Good day Steemians!!!

I uploaded this group photo with my friends " barkadas" because Sinulog Festival in my beloved hometown Cebu is fast approaching. Few days from now, we "Cebuanos" will celebrate this annual event in honor of our beloved Santo Niño de Cebu. Our main focus during this event is to give praise and offer prayers to God ( Santo Niño/ Baby Jesus Christ) because if we put God first in our life every challenges or problems that we will encounter will be easier for us to overcome.

So much for the pilgrims, one of the highlights during this event is the street party. The picture below is the evidence that we with my friends enjoyed a lot because of the music and good vibes during the party. Sad to say this coming Sinulog Festival 2018, street party is prohibited by our town officials because of security reasons and also to prevent party goers to get into trouble that can cause injury or even death. Even though I'm not totally agree this kind of idea but for the sake of safety and as the saying goes " prevention is better than cure " it must be implemented for the benefit of all people that will be attending Sinulog Festival.
