  1. first generation games
1972, at that time people do not know consoles or computer games, they know is a video game, which is an electronic game that displays moving images (video). A company called Magnavox launched its first video game, the Odyssey.Magnavox Odyssey, the world's first gaming console to operate Pong. Not long after that an Atari legendary arcade game titled "Pong" appeared. Pong is a simple game that takes the concept of tennis game, one ball and 2 boards on the left and right, the player as much as possible should try to return the ball to the opponent's area. Atari released Pong in the form of a ding dong machine called Sears. 1975, Magnavox surrenders and discontinues production of the Odyssey. Instead, they follow Atari's footsteps, producing a ding dong machine called Odyssey 100, which specializes in Pong games.

1976, Fairchild tries to revive the world of video games by creating VES (Video Entertainment System). VES is the first machine called "console". This console uses a magnetic tape called a cartridge. Well, this concept is then followed by several other manufacturers, including Atari, Magnavox, and RCA, the three companies are also releasing similar consoles.Fairchild VES, the world's first to use media cartridge.
1977, the console world became unpopular, the existing games did not manage to attract interest. Fairchild and RCA went bankrupt. Practically, there are only Atari and Magnavox that still survive in the world of video games.
1978, Magnavox launched Odyssey 2, as did the first Odyssey, this console also failed to hit. Not long ago, Atari launched the legendary console, Atari 2600, which is famous for its Space Invaders game 1980, various manufacturers of consoles appeared, and they took the Atari 2600 as a basic concept, the development of the game world was growing rapidly.

People prefer to buy a PC rather than a video game console, in addition to playing, PC is also productive to work. Computer games (PC Game) is growing rapidly, to date. The PC game pioneer at the time was the Commodore 64, a console as well as a personal computer that provided a 16-color graphic display and had much better memory capacity than any model video console.
