The first person who has made navigation round the world alone

Joshua Slokum led difficult life of the ordinary seaman, but so was until he hasn't retired and hasn't made the great round-the-world trip. On April 24, 1895 at the age of 51 year Slokum has gone to a global cruise absolutely one. For orientation he has decided not to use a chronometer, habitual for those years, and has trusted in navigation notation. He has come back home in 1998, having floated 74 000 km and having overcome such obstacles as meetings with pirates and the most dangerous storms. Joshua has died in the sea because even by an old age I haven't learned to swim.
