Internet Service Provider Indonesia (APJII) released the results of a survey just published this month. Referring to the survey, it is known the number of internet users in Indonesia has reached 132.7 million. While the population of Indonesia today is 256.2 million people.

Of the number of users, 47.5 percent were women, while 52.5 percent were men. Still according to the survey, 65 percent or about 86.3 million Internet users in Indonesia are in Java

Aside from Java, Indonesian internet users are successively scattered most in Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Bali and Nusa, and Maluku and Papua. For data retrieval, APJII conducted field survey and face-to-face with multi stage random sampling method.

Compared with the last survey conducted APJII in 2014, the number of internet users in Indonesia has increased significantly. Two two years ago internet users in Indonesia only 88.1 million.
