and our four-alarm faith rages on

and the many-toothed creatures in it,
the animals waiting with open mouth,
their quiet song the law of averages
from which all meals are born.

Simply, so you're not weighed down
dragged down deep by density and gravity
and the love of money, where greed thrives,
so you're not floundering on a bed of material
that clouds your infinite view.

And when we've left the world asleep
and tip-toe around the hungry mouths,
we'll overcome the law of averages
and focus on the greater love,
