KNOWING WHERE TO TAP

Once upon a time, the was a very big ship which had a fault that for almost 3 weeks, almost all the engineers and expert's from the marine industry had tried their best to fix but none had a solution to it. A recommendation was made to the owner of the ship to try an old marine engineer who was retired to seek his advice and see if he could solve the problem, because the owner of the ship was in desperate need of the ship to return back to shape and return back to work.
The old man was contacted and he came with his tool box, after taking a careful look at the ship and the engine, with everybody gathered around to see what the man will do, he brought out a hammer and tap a particular part on the engine compartment and then ask the captain to start the ship. To everybody's surprise the ship that almost all the experts could not fix was restore to it's original glory.
The owner of the ship took the man to his office and praised him, and finally asked him how much was his bill?. The old man said 200,000$. The owner of the ship was amazed and asked the man to give him an itemised list of all what he did and why his bill is 200,000$.
The old man simply wrote on a plain sheet of paper

• My fee for taping the engine is - 5$
• My fee for KNOWING WHERE TO TAP- 199,995$.

The owner of the ship paid him his money and the man went his way.

MORAL LESSON:
Hard work is good, but working smart and knowing what you are doing and paying attention carefully is better. In life today, a whole lot of people are struggling to get a degrees, masters and build up themselves. It's not bad to build up yourself, but do you actually know where to apply all what your learning effectively to bear result, do you know where to tap to get that desired result.
Much more than seeking knowledge lets try to seek understanding of the knowledge we are running after.
