Nature generously endowed him with talents, fate - the opportunity to fully realize them. Igor Vladimirovich Kvasha - one of the founding fathers of the legendary Sovremennik Theater, who until the last days kept faithfulness to his stage, the most popular film actor, who became native to millions of viewers thanks to the program "Wait for Me."

Originally from childhood

Igor Kvasha was born on February 4, 1933 in Moscow, in the family of a professor of chemistry and a doctor-defectologist. Parents of the soul did not see in the boy and helped to awaken interest in acting, giving the son a homemade puppet show: the father made the scene, the mother sewed the curtain and the dolls.

Igor was a rare mischief, and sometimes a hooligan. The father found an unconventional government, having written down on his record a voice denouncing his son's tricks. The thing was that he said "under Levitan," and began with the words "Moscow is speaking!" Igor was terribly upset, he cried: he thought that Stalin had heard all about his leprosy, and before him was terribly ashamed ...

In the summer of 1941, Igor lived with his mother in the country, and the terrible news about the war did not affect them. But one day my father, still working, returned from Moscow in high spirits. "They took me to the front," he told his family happily. This was their last meeting: Igor and his mother were evacuated to Siberia, for a long time there had been no news from his father. Only in 1943 came the funeral: disappeared without a trace near Leningrad. But the mother, crying at night, for a long time did not tell Igor that his father would never return to them.

Selecting a path

In the 7th grade the boy was seriously taken by the theater and could not think of anything else. This greatly worsened his academic performance, but incredibly raised his authority among fellow practitioners and even teachers - they often forgave his absenteeism and put the threes instead of failures.

The young man entered the School-Studio of the Moscow Art Theater the first time and at the end of the course got on the famous stage of this theater. In 1957, Igor Kvasha, together with Galina Volchek and Oleg Efremov, founded the Sovremennik Theater, which he gave almost 55 years of his life.

Personal life

Despite the appearance of the hero-lover and a charming voice, in his personal life, Igor Vladimirovich was a monogamous person. True, "half" found only the second attempt.

At the age of 18, he married a classmate, but the union was not long-lived and a year later the couple parted by mutual consent. After that, the actor led a modest bachelor life. But one day, while resting in Koktebel, he met a student of the medical institute Tatyana Semyonovna Putiyivska. Resort, and in fact - a fateful novel was soon resolved by marriage. They did not leave for 52 years. Relations formed when Tatyana was already pregnant. Son Vladimir was born six months later.

By the way, Tatiana did not take her husband's surname. And it's not in ambition - so she tried to wean Igor Vladimirovich to smoke. I put an ultimatum: quit smoking - I'll take your name! Bad habit was stronger ...

Theater and TV

Kvasha was very successful in the cinema, where he played more than 70 roles (the best he himself considered the image of Stalin in the film "Under the sign of a scorpion"). But still his life Igor Vladimirovich considered the theater, which he did not leave until the end of days. Despite the obstructive bronchitis, the tormented actor in recent years, he never canceled the performance. On TV Kvasha got by accident: suddenly another candidate for the role of presenter refused, the creators of the program came to him, they say, at random, and the actor could not refuse them.
He remembered his father, whose last words before leaving for the front were: "Wait for me, son, wait for sure!" And, having agreed to take part in the shooting only once, he worked in the program for 14 years. Only when the disease did not allow, another leader replaced him.

The final

In August 2012, chronic bronchitis associated with long-term smoking. Has become aggravated and has developed into purulent. Despite the treatment, the artist began to increase shortness of breath, there were symptoms of a pulmonary heart with which he was hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Unfortunately, the body of the actor was powerless in the fight against the disease, and on August 30, Igor Kvasha died on the 80th year of life.

On September 4, fellow actors and numerous fans came to the Sovremennik to say goodbye to Igor Vladimirovich and took him to the last road to the Troekurovskoye cemetery ...
