Başlangıç - The beginning

"Başlangıç,
bu, şu anda bulunduğum ülkenin kararsız soğuğunda yazılmış bir hikayenin ilk sayfasıdır.

Kız pencereden baktı... Sokak lambasının ışığından kar yağıp yağmadığını kontrol ettikten sonra, burnunun ucunu cama yaslayıp birkaç saniye öylece bekledi. Düşünmedi. Karanlığın içindeki tek bir sarı noktaya odaklandı. Ne kar ne de yağmur gördü.

Sanki aklına bir şey gelmiş gibi hızlı hareketlerle montunu giyip dışarı çıktı. Ayağındaki tekleri birbirini tutmayan çoraplarının görünmesinden korkmadı hiç. Hızla yürümeye başladı. Saat 3-4 sularıydı. Böyle tekinsiz zamanlarda hep aynı şeyi hissederdi, çöp kutularından fırlayan kedilerden, bir de birinin onu takip etmesinden korkardı. Sanki tüm dünyada başka korkulacak hiçbir şey gerçekleşmiyormuş gibi.

Ara sokaklardan birine daldı. Hızlı adımlarının arasında bir an durup derin bir nefes çekti. İçine soğuk havayla birlikte kömür kokusu doldu. Güldü, kimseyi umursamadığını kendine kanıtlarcasına ses çıkarmaktan çekinmeden. Evet, yaşıyordu. Üşümekten, yorulmaktan veya başına bir iş gelmesinden korkmadan gidebildiği yere kadar yürümeyi düşünüyordu. Başka hiçbir şey gelmiyordu aklına, belki de gelmesine izin vermiyordu. Sanki dünyada hiçkimse yokmuş gibi kendine ayrılmış bir oyun parkında kendi kumdan kalesini inşa ediyordu. Kimse ne kadar kolay yıkılabileceğini bilmezse neticede bir kalesi olacaktı. Yürüdüğü yere varmadan kaleyi bitirmeli, pencerelerine taktığı perdelerini kapatmalıydı. Büyük bir adım attı ileriye doğru. Ve başladı..."

İsminden de anlaşılacağı üzerebu uzun sürecek bir yolculuğun ilk adımı. Devam edecek bir süreç. Sizce bu yolculuk nasıl şekillenecek? Hikayedeki kale, gece, kar ve yol ne anlama geliyor? Bakalım ikinci hikaye ile tahminleriniz örtüşecek mi? İkinci hikaye için şimdilik belli bir zaman yok. Yola çıkış için hava ne zaman müsait olursa.

"The beginning,
this is the first page of a story written in the unstable cold of the country where I am in now.

The girl looked out of the window... by using the street lamp light, she checked that whether it is snowing then she leaned her nose tip to the window and waited for a few seconds. She did not think anything and she focused on a single yellow dot in the darkness. She saw neither snow nor rain.

As if something had come to mind, she wore her coat in quick movements and went out. She did not hesitate about the appearance of her unpaired socks. She started to walk quickly. The time was approximately 3 or 4 AM. She always feels the same things in strange times. She was afraid of two things, one of them is, jumping of a cat out of the garbage containers and the other one is following her by someone. As if nothing else feared in the whole world.

Suddenly, she entered to the street which is on the left side of her. She stood for a moment and took a deep breath between her quick steps. She filled up with charcoal smell and cold air. Then she laughed loudly without any hesitating to make a sound to prove herself that she does not care about anyone. Yes, she is alive. She was thinking about walking to somewhere without anything like fear of any trouble, getting cold or exhaustion. Nothing else came to her mind, perhaps she did not allow to come. She was constructing her sand castle in a playground reserved for herself as if there is no one else in the world. If no one knew how easily it could be destroyed, it would eventually she would have a castle. She had to finish the castle and she had to close the curtains of the windows before she arrive her destination.. She took a big step forward. And she started..."

As the name implies, this is the first step of a long journey. A process to continue. How will this journey be shaped for you? What does the castle, night, snow and road mean in the story?
