A Short Story On The Reality Of Life. The Bitterness Came To an End.

in #story7 years ago

I was trying to reflect on somethings that have happened in my life this morning and I remember one of my late uncle and his dealings when he was alive.

This man was really a strong man and he looked like someone who will live forever, although he always has issues with his wife and the reason for the constant fight was one thing no one could explain.

From the story we heard, it was said that they really loved each other and even when the girl's parent will not have them get married because of difference in religious belief, they eloped together to get married. Their love grew every day and people envied them.

After some time, they started fighting and what everyone thought to be a normal marital issue turned into something big, because a whole week will not pass by without them getting involved in a fight that people will come help them settle.
It graduated into them laying curses on each other whenever such fight happens, they will both come out of their house and begin to curse each other. The wife will tell him that he will not live to see his children succeed and other bad words like that.

We expected divorce if that will bring peace since their issue had graduated into something the head of the family could not resolve but they never had a divorce.

This fight continued until one day, just after their first child finished his youth service program, my uncle went on a journey and he never returned. It was really a sad day for everyone as we received a call about the fact that he had an accident and he died immediately.

Everyone looked at his wife as she quickly said she knew nothing about it, my Aunt will not have that as an answer as she said to her, now you are happy, all the curse you have laid have all been fulfilled, does that make you satisfied? answer me, my Aunt cried even louder.
It was really painful because that was the first of such we would experience in the family.

I looked at his wife's face and all I could see was guilt, bitterness, and pain. The end has come to the everyday fight, quarrels, nagging and even cursing each other. I wish they had fixed their issues before his death, but now she will have to live with the guilt alone forever.

There are always ups and downs in relationship but the ability of been able to handle it is where the maturity comes in.

you are very correct, thanks for coming around.

Oh that guilt she may have to bear for the rest of her life.
If only we know what will happen tomorrow, we will always learn to forgive more and fight less...

You are correct my brother, thanks for coming around.
