Hi there :) Okay, so I hope you won't mind a few tips--the thing is I accidentally went to your page when I just meant to click the comment, and it was a happy accident as it turns out since the description under your name caught my eye and I scrolled down and read the first episode of Gaia's Brood.
Excellent, my tips are not about your story- and I will write a proper comment on the next episode when I read it :)
It's actually the comment- you're new so you wouldn't know this, but these types of comments are, well generally ignored...possibly you might get a thank you. By anyone who has been here for awhile I should say. The thing is, unfortunately, even though upvoted and followed is a positive, it also can be seen as spam.
The only really effective and sure way to get noticed is by writing out comments that say something about the post you're on. And I'd like to see you get noticed, because novelists are a bit of a novelty here- especially someone who is good, which based on what I've seen so far, you are.

(Though I understand how a comment on this particular chapter might be awkward, ha :)

Ah, okay, thanks for that. I was just trying to cover a lot of ground and find as many writers as possible. Guess I will have to take it slower. I'm still trying to get used to the site -very different to Twitter, which is my usual haunt - lots of videos online about using bots, but I'm not sure how relevant they are.
There doesn't appear to be anyway to tell if someone has re-steemed your article, which is why I started tell people what I had done. Nick

No worries at all, just wanted to help before you were subjected to anything harsh, people can be a little ridiculous around here sometimes.
Yes, very different from twitter! And using bots is extremely controversial- I don't recommend it for commenting especially, you can only get away with it if you have a lot of steempower really.

I was just complaining about how they still haven't come up with a feature that lets you know about resteems, haha, you're right about that, it's certainly fine to let people know. All three of those things are perfectly fine to let people know, and while you're new probably even a good idea. Just be sure to say something a little personal to people as well- if you would like them to visit your page especially :)
