THE WOMEN'S DAY.

Google would define a woman as a female human being, but a woman is more than just a female.A woman can single- handedly fight when provided with the correct tools.There is no limit to a strong willed woman something that should be celebrated rather than brought down.The day which is marked across the world on 8th March celebrates the social,economical,political and cultural achievements of women.On this day we celebrate the strength of women and women’s rights.This year women from different parts of the world celebrated this day in different ways.

In Nairobi,Kenya as the world came together to celebrate this day,a number of companies lined up different occasions to mark the day.Its also a call to mark gender parity.The Nairobi security exchange hosted future women excecutive officers training to mark the day while Kenya commercial bank group changed its logo to a lioness in honour of women.

The womens day is celebrated globally,and it grows stronger each year.It is often said that the strength of a woman is her unconditional love,compassion and strength.A lot of messages and activity on this day tickled my fancy.I couldn’t help but recognize the great women in the world today.Women setting great examples in their own kind of way and differently.

Lets take a woman like Oprah who had a very rough time growing up but that didn’t stop her from being the great woman she is today.

Another is the late Wangari Mathai who fought for the environment without giving up.

I certainely can’t forget about Lupita Nyongo who set the bars higher for young girls out there showing them that no matter where you are from,a woman can build herself up no matter the circumstances.
So to the women out there,get your wig on,heels on and glam up and celebrate this day because your limitless.No matter your size,your complexion,your height,personality and race you matter and on this day we celebrate you greatly.Happy international women's day to all the ladies out there.
