Dive Safari

Dive safari is something like a breathtaking fairy tale in which is difficult to believe. You live something about 7-10 days on a middle-sized yacht. Yes, you literally live in the Indian Ocean about several days. Some of Maldives’s diving organizations make one or two stops to go to the land, for example, to walk through the city of Maldives or to make an evening picnic on the wild island; some of them doesn’t do it.

Can you imagine that? A beautiful tasty fresh sea food at the one of Maldives’s wild islands, setting sun, beautiful and amazing colors of sky, white and still warm sand, self-made fires near with self-made tables and so on. Moreover, you feel everything of these after several days in the ocean.

What’s dive safari at Maldives?

You have free dives on dive safari per day at that place. The first dive is nearly at six a.m. Some of fauna of Indian Ocean can be seen just in the early morning, in the special places and on the special deep, for example, mantas. They can be seen in a lot of places in the Indian Ocean in the different times but in some places they can be seen as a huge flock. You can see this breathtaking show in the early morning like 6-7 a.m. on the depth nearly 18-20 meters in the Indian Ocean. Just guide knows these places.

The most of times the dives in the Indian Ocean are deep dives like 20-40 meters so it always needs time to balance the level of azoth in the blood. By this way, the second dive is often after about 1-2 hours after the lunch. It’s approximately at 2-3 p.m. The sun is very high at this moment if it’s not a rainy day so the second dive is often the most colorful. Moreover, the most of a huge amount of Indian Ocean’s habitants live their lives when it’s day. Even if the weather isn’t very well, it can be rain or overcast sky, for example, don’t disappoint! You still have a great chance to see the flora and fauna in all their beauty because it’s the Indian Ocean. It’s just beautiful and it has the most diverse flora and fauna in the world. You will see different types of sharks like reef shark of «nurse» shark, huge, just enormous mantas which have the span of their wings about 5-7 and even 8 meters. You also will see a lot of kinds of different fishes of all shapes, colors and sizes. You will also see a lot of other different habitants of this place. There’re many beautiful coral reefs in the Indian Ocean which are located on 20-40 meters. That’s the cause why the most of dives are deep dives. The huge part of the ocean life is going on coral reefs.

The first or second dive can be also on a wreck. It can be a middle-sized boat or a real big ship. It’s always just an unforgettable and incredible dives. Different parts of these wrecks looks different, exciting and even magic. If you are lucky and have a certificate of wreck diver you can also go inside whenever you want (if guide doesn’t forbid that) and watch just everything. There’s very dark inside the wrecks so you need a lighter. Sometimes divers get confused where’s the top and where’s the bottom. In this case, you should look on the bubbles which are always go up.
The dive in the evening is often a dive on a beautiful reef or something like that. It calls «utter dive», not the «last dive»! That’s because no one wants to have his last dive. Sometimes it can be the night not very deep but dark enough dive with enormous amount of huge sharks and huge ramps. These animals, actually, don’t touch divers because divers are not their food. There are a lot of their favorite food in the Indian Ocean. It’s safety enough in this way. The most important is to watch under yourself sometimes: when you are sitting on the sand bottom of the ocean, the ramp can swim under you and accidentally sting you. Night dives like this are just amazing and fabulous. It’s very difficult to plunge when you are on the boat but it’s not scared at all when you are at the bottom of the ocean with a lighter in your hand looking at all of these.

Flora and Fauna of Indian Ocean

The flora and fauna of Indian Ocean are the most diverse in the world. There are a lot of beautiful, colorful and full of life coral reefs at that place. You can see everything what you have ever seen on the pictures at these coral reefs. The fishes of different sizes, colors and forms, huge ramps and different kinds of moray, some kinds of small and big enough sharks like reef shark, yellow shark and so on. There’s one place in the Indian Ocean at Maldives where you can see a huge whale shark 10 meters in length. Not everyone is so lucky to see it there while it’s a dive at that place.
If you have an experienced guide (all guides are experienced at Maldives), you will see a lot of more different things like different little poison creatures, sea stars, fish stones and so on.
There most part of the life in the ocean is in the first 40 meters because almost everyone needs sunlight for life. However, there are a lot of different life in the deeps of the Indian Ocean. The difference that it’s not focused in the one place like on the reef. There’s life on the bottom of ocean too, of course.
