You can cut the tension with a knife, @ezzy. Just amazingly written. You captured the feeling of Megan's fear perfectly. Being trapped on the highway, the heat of the day, her realization of terror after the chat with Brad. Unbelievable job at conveying those details and emotions over to the reader.
Astounding, @ezzy. Cannot wait for the next part, don't stop!
