Indian Weather Rock
Many people rely heavily on the weather forecast from their local television station while I tend to take anything they way with a grain of salt. So many times I heard it was going to rain all day to plan to stay inside, or it would be sunny all day to make sure you get out and enjoy it. Often, they have been wrong.
The meteorologists are wrong often enough, with no consequences, that my next trip through this world that will be my chosen profession. All the times my outdoor plans were spoiled after the promise of a beautiful day, I never got an apology. On some occasions the meteorologist will make a comment the along the lines of "Oops, I was wrong about yesterday but today….".
The technology they use is amazing too. But then again I've been told it was raining outside and when I look up, there's no rain. I wonder how long it takes to get a degree in meteorology?
So now, I rely on an Indian Weather Rock! It's never wrong and it's easy to read. Simply suspend your Indian Weather rock outside somewhere that it is not in the shade of a tree or under a roof structure. Anytime you want to know the weather, simply check the rock. If it's wet, it's either raining or recently has been raining. If the stone is nice and warm, you know it's a sunny day and if it your Indian Weather Rock is moving around, it's windy.
Technology is great and has really improved our lives, but sometimes you just need to stick your head out the door.
As we were just laughing at our wind sock....still have the summer one out. Frogs and a pond on it. Ron thinks we should have a winter one. I, on the other hand, do not care.
Same principal as the Indian Rock. Real time weather.
Have room for an Indian rock right close to the 'Indian Weather Vane'. Have a special rock in mind already
I forgot to add that when the Indian Weather Rock is white, it's snowing.
And we use the top of the grill to know how much snow we have.
You were right all along. Who needs a high paid weatherman.
