WHITE AGO
White ago
We tread the mill, with muzzles round our mouth
Like slave donkeys
Black bent by white hunches
White ago
It was said, Black never suit the tie
So Black never suit and tie
Only tied by chains and pains
White made the mistake
Black took the blame
White ago
Black prayed for the night
For more work came with the light
Humbled by our fears
Oppressed by our peers
Consoled by our death
White ago
Black stayed away from plains and shores
...cause Black at the shore
Was shipped off shore
To a destination not sure
But far away from were Black came from
White ago
Black was zero
White was hero
White heads for the pillow
Black necks for the gallow
White ago
Perspectives began to change
Black were no more in chains
Black now
Black for ever
The color of my skin doesn't
Determine the nature of my
Skills
