As I drove to the airport to travel for the sake of my holidays, on entering the plane I began to feel a little nervous and I remembered a shocked real history happened in the 80's that I am very surprised and I wanted to share with you.
This is the tragic story of Dr. Raiza Josefina Ruiz Guevara, the only survivor of an air crash where survival was carried out under extreme circumstances.
Decreased dead on September 1, 1981. On the seventh day of the month, children of the Baré tribe who were playing in the middle of the jungle notice something strange: it was the body of Raiza who was unconscious on the ground, presented problems Of dehydration, was swollen, and with severe burns and worms all over his body.
Survived After being rescued by a small indigenous community and receiving specialized help.
He received multiple operations of skin grafts which left him immobile for several months.

In the plane was the pilot Rómulo Ordóñez and the Colombian judge Jose Manuel Herrera Correa.

Believing that it would be necessary to seek help, he traveled a long way to a river, where he could drink water and clean his wounds.
Judge Correa told him that he could not continue and decided to seek help from the pilot Ordoñez, who did not know of his death until after leaving the hospital.
Being a person raised in the city indicates that for her it was a crude nightmare the seven days and six nights that I spent in the Amazon jungle.
On the third day their situation worsened, having days without food and only drinking dirty water, they listened to helicopters for several days, but they could not find them despite the signals. They decide to explore the area to be seen when another plane passes.
Although he lasted several hours shouting and waving his arms, he stopped listening to the pilot and decided to look for him, finding him dead from his serious injuries.
At that moment he decides to leave the river and walk until he can not over and fall. She was seen by the children of the tribe and the next day they returned with the adults to help her, they moved her in a canoe to the village where they lived and in a few hours they removed the worms from the neck and healed their wounds with herbs.
Luckily there was only one person who spoke Spanish who was able to get a motorboat to take her to a hospital, but they found no doctors, they were all in the city at the place where their burial would take place.
She managed to be attended by a dentist and a nurse, and that same night they manage to take her in a small plane to the Hospital of Puerto Ayacucho.
Two days after the accident, 30 rescuers began the search for survivors. They found only three corpses. Ruiz missing, assuming that his remains were inside the plane and made his death official.
It was found alive a week later in an indigenous tribe. The investigation indicated that the cause that caused the accident was a human fault, because the pilot was flying very low.
This is a sign that we should never lose hope, whatever the situation in which we find ourselves. Perhaps Dr. Raiza lost all that night, everything but her faith, it was this that helped her to continue alive, to fight to survive in spite of any circumstance.
Although it has already overcome this terrible event, will always be remembered like "The Miracle in the Amazon".
