Talak
Talak 'nj desert in the western Niger, as well as in Algeria and Mali.
It is about 100,000 km². Talak is part of the Sahara desert.
This area is widely irrigated by small watercourses flowing into the Niger River, making the desert less barren than the rest of the Sahara.
Discoveries of now extinct flora and fauna were made.
In the eastern part, there is a trans-Saharan highway that connects Algeria with Nigeria.
