Oasis of Bilma

In an oasis on the eastern outskirts of the desert, the town of Bilma is located, serving as the starting point for a caravan route of length 560 km to Agadez.

From the name of the village got its name and a vast sandy area with a length of 1200 km from Niger to Chad - Big Erg Bilma.

In the oasis of Agadeem used to be the French colonial fort.

The climate of the desert is tropical, continental. Precipitation does not drop out every year. In some places, rain does not happen even for 30 years.
