JOSE AND KIM: A short story

I wanted to make today's freewrite appear a little bit different from others, thus, I decided to tell us a short story.
Jose was rascally. He did all sort of unthinkable stuff that rumor has it that he belonged to an armed robbery gang. He smoked Indian hemp, took cocaine, always in a brothel; so, as a matter of fact, he deals, big time, on hard drugs.
But soon, he found himself a friend, Kim.
Kim and Jose became very close that Kim knew almost everything Jose was doing and his whereabout at any point. Jose trusted Kim so much that he knew almost all of his secrets. But something happened.
After some months of friendship, the police arraigned Jose. He was arrested and taken to jail where he spent 5 years.
Two weeks after he was released, he discovered that Kim was a police detective and spy, and became friends with him so as to supply intelligent information to the authorities.
Was this betrayal or just Kim carrying out his professional duty.

Well, it was his duty, so no, he didn't betray Jose. Good thing they became friends, though, and that Jose became an informant. Who knows, maybe Kim will lead him to the path of good...
