Mandela's courage can be seen in some of the most inspiring quotes from him like the one below.
No one is born to hate others because of the color of his skin, his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate. If they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love because love is more natural to the human heart than the other way around.
Rejecting the fulfillment of human rights means challenging the humanity itself. Getting someone to suffer with hunger and a life of deprivation (poverty) means not humanizing them. However, these are the bad luck that affects all blacks in our country under the apartheid system.
I acknowledge that I have no right to judge others on my own terms, however I may be proud of my custom.
People might say spending 27 years in jail has wasted your life. However, the most important thing for a politician is whether the ideas where you depend your life still live, whether those ideas win in the end, and everything that happens shows that we are not sacrificing in vain.
Our struggle for freedom and justice is a collective effort. The effort to create a better world for everyone who lives in it is in your hands.
