Like a Child
I have always had a soft spot for kids. Some folks have called me a big kid by the laughter, and upbeat attitude I exude each day. Personally, I could sit and listen to a child's view on the world for hours - life seems much simpler.
This precious gem is Angelique. The first time I met her she walked right up to me and started smiling. She was fearless, and part of me thinks she wanted to look cool in my sunglasses.
This young fella barely left my side from the moment we met. My time in Honduras, and at his home in the slums taught me that he just needed my hand. Kids spell love t-i-m-e.
On a slightly more humorous note, this is my brother Shel after being underwater. We were teaching him to ski and told him all the details to ensure he was up easy - we forgot to mention he ought to let go if he didn't stand up. He stayed in that solemn position for an hour, and didn't say a word.
One day baby girl, one day you can join the guys. My sister is the caboose in the family after 5 brothers. It was a new adventure for all of us to integrate a girl into the boyish adventures we lived in. She holds her own today.
It seems like a noble heart is beating within you and your heart is spilling love for the children.....thank for this post...

I always have a soft spot for kids...especially those in need. Ive worked with Operation Christmas Child and Compassion Intl for years. Like they say, we cant help them all, but we all can help some.
We can help some, absolutely. Operation CC, and Compassion are great organizations.

children always make me smile. They don't need every minute of their day planned. They're artists and need quiet time for their genius to flourish. I think your little sister has surprised you over time :)
Her quiet time has produced some incredible artwork. She has flourished in her safe space in our family. :)
