The Meet-Up: A Love Story.

"It's a bright sunny day" Sarah murmured. She's preparing to go for lunch, the restaurant is just few blocks away and the delicacies they offer is something everyone rushes to take before lunch is over. It's a first come, first serve basis. If you're 20minutes late, there's a high chance of you missing the super amazing lunch served.

She checked the time from the wall clock, it's 12:48pm. A flash of thought went through her mind, she smiled. She remembered her father had presented the wall clock to her on her resumption day. She felt it's awkward, bringing a wall clock to a new office but her father had insisted, so she took it along, hanged it and it's now a cherished possession. A treasured gift, she calls it.

Outside, the sun looks like it could burn. But she's time conscious, she couldn't afford to miss lunch, the early morning rush had denied her breakfast. She braced herself at the entrance, she started to walk but stopped before she fully went under the heat. The thought of missing lunch wouldn't let her be, she rushed in and walked briskly. She had only took a few steps before bumping into someone, a large arm grabbed her before she fell. She looked up, her eyes met with a cute face.

She quickly shrugged while she found her feet. She apologized to him as he smiled and nodded to signal it's okay. He asked in a gentle voice, Are you okay?. She answered "I'm fine, I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention". It's alright, he responded. It's until she had a second look till she recognized who he was, Daniel! Daniel James!. The CEO of Amira Wears, she had crushed on him since her first day at work when he came to visit her boss.

She looked at him like she saw a ghost. He introduced himself and politely tendered his apology too. She probably caught his eye too. Of course, she's pretty and intelligent. Maybe that's why he stood unwilling to move on after the whole apologizing drama.

She finally decided to take that step as neither seems to make the move. He noticed this, so he introduced himself and waited for a response. She responded with her name. He offered her his complimentary card after a few exchange of words but she turned it down and called out her digits to him. She walked away smiling and he couldn't help but wonder what kind of person she is. He determined in his mind, "I must find out".

It's two weeks and three days now, he hadn't call. She didn't see him or heard about him. She became curious. Now, she had to wait and she couldn't forget the few minutes they were together. She doesn't know what to do.

Finally, he called! She didn't know who it was until he identified himself, she couldn't believe it. Then, the journey started.

They dated for some months, getting comfortable and happy with each other. He called her Adorable while she called him Excellent!

Today, they look back to that fateful day, sitting together and smiling.
