Butterfly as a sign of the arrival of guests (Myth or Fact?)
Here, ya I mean, in my region, in Aceh, or even in most communities in Southeast Asia - I do not dare to limit - there is a kind of belief, that if there are butterflies that enter and fly in the house, it is as a sign that there will be guests visiting.
So far I do not know where that belief came from. Whether it refers to a frequency occurring, but actually, not really. In very much time, guests visit the house without being preceded by the butterflies entering the house, and not infrequently when the butterflies enter the house, there are no guests who come. So where does something like this kind of belief come from? I do not think anyone knows that.
That is certainly not a fact although many people say it while smiling or laughing. Yes at least, butterflies enter the house, and people interpret it as an encouraging sign. There is even more a kind of belief, if you visit a house, then there are butterflies that fly around you or even perched on your body, then it will be an affirmation that you are really a guest (LOL). But if it's something that happens to me, then I will really like it, because that means I will really be glorified. Nature legitimizes that I am a good guest. (LOL).
Why I tell you about this?
That's because when I had an afternoon coffee at a coffee shop I was approached by an unexpected visitor, a butterfly. All of a sudden, it perched on my desk, and stood near my coffee, and I did not invite it. I really like this moment even though I do not know who is actually a guest here. I think we are both guests in this place. But anyway, is something fun can be accompanied by a butterfly while drinking coffee.
Is this a sign that nature legitimizes me to take a cup of coffee? (LOL)
