THE COLOR OF LIFE (An Original Poem)

Life is a vibrant blue
The kind of the clear skies with the sun in full bloom
But also, the color of a dangerous sea
A dark sea, where evil lurks in the depths

Life is a vicious red
The color of newly spilled blood
But also, of the roses
Of a heart that has found its match

Life is a natural green
The color of the food that keeps us alive
But also, the color of the sickness
That takes some people's lives too soon

Life is a warming yellow
The kind that the sun glows with, early in the morning
But also, of the light of electricity
That has consumed the time of many lives

Life is a pitch black
The kind that is only in an alley, where bad things happen
But also, the black of darkness
That causes a spark of hope that starts to make a change

Life is an innocent white
Unbleached, untainted, and perfect
But if you want to know the truth
Life can never be truly white
