“Yes general,” Rephael answered that he felt very near to good health, “I am ready.” He stood in Ricks’ office, briefed on all the material, had seen all the papers and photographs. He knew about the new weapons and the bindings, “And he will still have some power no matter what we do, even if he is bound, but with eleven other soldiers to carry him and fight off the rest of his minions, we should be able to throw him in and push him back where he came from.”

“Are you sure his name is Asmodeus?” Colonel Prescott asked, “Or is it Nergal?”

“It is both and he may have many more names than just those two. God of Death, he was bound and thrown off our planet before and I am sure we can do it again.” Rephael answered, “Yes, if I am not alone there is no way he can escape this time.”

“What about the spawn, can he unleash them once he is between worlds, or universes?” Ricks asked.

“If he is able to release the spawn in between universes, he has not done it yet.” Rephael answered. “He took them with him when I dragged him in last time; they were inside him or whatever happens to them.”

“Sir,” A captain addressed Ricks.

“What is it?”

“The weather over the Kalahari Desert is changing and there it is still late summer. Fog is rising and clouds have blanketed the whole area over hundreds of square miles.” The captain reported.

“He is coming for the box general.” Rephael stated. “He is covering his movements.”

“Captain, get a hold of Tom and see if he can get any readings to where Asmodeus might be travelling.” Ricks ordered.

“Yes sir.” The Captain left.

The red phone rang, General Ricks answered the call, “General Ricks here.”

“This is the President, General Ricks. We think Asmodeus is moving but we do not know where. Have your men ready to go wherever he ends up at a moment’s notice.”

“Mr. President, we think he is coming here to get the box.” Ricks said. “It has been growing and is now three feet by three feet by about a foot.”

“Here is the new plan General Ricks. We will let it slip to the prisoners that the box is being moved to the second battle site in Nevada, instead of kept at the base. We have them under complete surveillance and they talk to him. Now, I want that box out of Las Vegas and out in the desert with your force within the hour, before Asmodeus arrives so no one is shot down like last time before we can spring the trap.”

“Yes, Mr. President we will deploy immediately to the site of the last battle in Nevada and bring the box with us.”

“Don’t take the box General Ricks. Just set the trap there. We have a decoy box and we will move the box somewhere else to a classified location. The decoy box should arrive to your location within a half hour.”

“Yes Mr. President.”

“You have a ‘GO!’ to deploy and capture the enemy at all costs General Ricks.”

“Yes, Mr. President.” The phone hung up. Ricks hung up the phone. “Prescott, order a full and immediate deployment to…” Ricks gave him the coordinates, “We will follow battle plan alpha. Deploy GO!”

“Yes sir!” Prescott left the room.

“Come with me Captain.” Ricks said to Rephael. Ricks left the office and as he walked through command area the staff was running and making all necessary transfers of equipment. One by one, everyone filed out of the room.

Ricks walked out of the hall with Rephael in tow. “Have your piece?”

“Yes sir.”

“Where is your pack?”

“It is in that staging room back there next to the command center.”

“Double time Captain. Go get it and I will wait here. Bring your weapons.”

“Yes sir.” Rephael ran off down the hall. He obeyed as he was ordered and reported back to Ricks.

“Follow me captain.” Ricks double timed, which is almost a run down the halls, outside, and across the parking lot. Chinooks were in the parking lot and combat ready soldiers boarded the huge twin bladed choppers as their blades churned. Ricks ran to his car, a Chevy SUV. “Get in the passenger side.”

Ricks and Rephael jumped into the SUV and drove off. “This plan is contingent upon complete secrecy, got it Captain?” Ricks said.

“Yes sir.”

“Don’t say one word until I give you the order, “Ask me what to do. Understood Captain?” Ricks asked.

“Yes sir.” Rephael answered as they drove off in the SUV.

They drove through the streets of the base and then when Ricks came out, they arrived at the other side of the headquarters building they had just left. Ricks pulled the SUV up to a parking spot near the door and parked. Nobody was on duty. The entire building of soldiers had deployed to the other side, where the Chinooks prepared to take off. Ricks made a silence symbol with his finger over his lips and then waved to get out of the SUV and follow him. He left the SUV running.

With Rephael in tow, they entered the building and walked down several corridors and made turns. They arrived at a room. One of the armed Captain guards stood on the outside. Ricks held up his finger for silence. He motioned for the guard to open the door. The second guard was there. Again Ricks motioned for silence and he moved in with Rephael following. The guard closed the door. The three Captains with pieces blocked the clear panel door to the storage room.

Again, Ricks made the silence symbol with his finger to the three guards. Then he motioned for them to move out of the way and he opened the door. He motioned for Rephael to follow him in the room and he closed the door.

Ricks pulled a device out of his pocket. He swept it around the room. It had flashing lights and it showed a green light. “Ask me what to do.”

“What do I do?” Rephael asked Ricks.

“Asmodeus cannot get this box. It is yours to take. Can you take it from here into the space between universes, because he cannot go in there unless you drag him in right?”

“That is right sir and I cannot move from in here but I can in that corner, there.” Rephael pointed through the glass.

“Okay.” Ricks said and he pulled a paper out of his pocket, it was a form in triplicate. “Sign here Captain.”

Rephael signed the form and then Ricks signed it and handed him a copy, “You now have custody of this box. Take it. You know where the battle will take place?”

“Yes sir.”

“Good. You will peek out on the battle field because I know you can do that.” Ricks said.

“Yes sir.”

“And if it looks like we are losing. If it looks like Asmodeus figures out the box we have is a decoy, you will pop out with this and lure him into the space in between and you will take those three Captains with you.”

“Yes sir.” Rephael replied.

Ricks kept looking at the device while he talked to Rephael, “Go now captain and take those three with you.”

“Yes sir and good luck sir.”

“Yes sir and good luck sir.” Ricks replied. Rephael opened the door and took the other three captains into the in between from the corner of the room. He took the box, the Gates of Hell, with them.

"Open the door guard!" Ricks ordered the inside guard to open the door.

"You two, grab that box and follow me. Move." Ricks headed outside the door and the two guards followed.
