As she approached I-15, there was a steep grade before her of several miles and she was at the summit of it. How did they know where I was at and what I my car looked like, she thought to herself. She pulled over, stopped the Explorer and exited the vehicle. As she drove she had looked for pursuit and saw none. There were no helicopters in her mirrors or where she look out of the windows. Once outside of the Ford SUV, she looked around and saw nothing.

As she walked around her view of I-15 blocked by a hill opened up. She saw many cars with flashing lights blocking U.S. 93. They were waiting for her. There was no way the police who stopped her could have radioed in, they were dead. She scanned the clear sky. No helicopters and she heard no vehicles. She looked up and she saw nothing. Were they able to follow her with satellites, maybe she thought - this is America. Wait, there up above her, she thought she saw something really high up in the sky. "Drones," she said to herself, "They are following me with at least one drone."

There is about an hour left until sunset she thought to herself. After it is dark, I will abandon this rental and sneak across the desert on foot. Head over to the Valley of Fire and hitch a ride into Vegas or steal another vehicle, or I could get a ride with a trucker at the truck stop there.

"The driver has stopped, Sir," the surveillance officer reported to General Ricks. "She is walking around and it appears no one is with her or if she has passengers, they have not left the vehicle."

"Call the State Troopers and have them move in on her and arrest her. Tell them to proceed with extreme caution. Notify them what happened to the last three troopers that stopped her."

I need to park this under some trees or cover so they cannot see the SUV from the sky as easily, Nelika thought. She looked at the highway. The flashing lights were now moving toward her. She ran to the Explorer, started it up, and drove up over the hill. There were some cedar trees up there.

"Sir, she has turned around and is going back the way she came." The surveillance officer reported.

"She must have seen the State Police heading in her direction. Have we got the license plate number of that Explorer."

"No sir, we would have to drop down to where she could see one of the drones."

"Do it and pass the number to the police."

"Yes sir."

Nelika saw a turn out patch off to the right with many trees past the edge of it. She turned in there. Where can I drive down the furthest? She asked herself. Luckily, she saw a steep road to the left and decided to follow it down as far as it would go.

Under the cover of trees, she went down the road, actually to the side of it hoping to remain hidden by the branches of the trees as much as possible from the sky. A plan formed in her mind. She had brought two blankets, both light tan. She could wrap herself in them and she would be very close to invisible. If only the sun would set, she would be invisible.

She drove slow so as not to kick up much dust and because it was so bumpy. "I thought so!" Nelika said as she saw a drone come straight at her above the tree tops, flying very low. The drone passed overhead. She saw the police at the edge up above. Lights flashing they started to come down.

"Sir, got her license number and it was passed to the State police."

"Excellent." General Ricks stated.

"I am going to have to make this look good," Nelika said as she followed the road to the right along the face of the mountain. The police were about a mile behind her and the drone was nowhere in sight, the trees were thickening. She reached back and grabbed the blankets out of the back seat and a six pack of bottled water. She unfolded the blanket and wrapped it around her like a cloak.

The road was no more than a cattle trail for cowboys and it headed down at a very steep angle. Nelika saw a very steep hillside off to the left. The police came around the corner where she could see their lights. Down the side of the mountain the light was blocked by the mountain. It was much darker, definitely twilight.

Nelika was about to jump out of the Explorer, when she saw the road would turn left ahead a hundred yards and then go around a curve another hundred yards where some big pine trees grew. She decided to continue to drive and not jump out until after she made the two turns.

Slowly, the police were catching up to her in their SUV's they could be no more than a quarter mile behind her. She made the first turn and it was open, exposed on the hillside. There was a short bumpy climb and she speed up, trying to pull a little further ahead of the police. She could now see them and they could see her in the open space across the turn.

She could hear them talking on their P.A. to her but her windows were up and she knew they told her to stop so she could not make out what they said. Nelika drove in between the two huge trees and followed the road to the right, she was now up to thirty- five miles per hour and she knew she could not be seen from the air because of the tall pines.

The road was very tight, good sized trees on both sides. She would have to jump soon. The road went left and she put the transmission in neutral and jumped out of the SUV as it turned left. There was a wall of brush the Explorer rolled into and she hit as she jumped.

She did not know it but she jumped out at the edge of a cliff with a five hundred foot drop nearly straight down. The Explorer went through the brush and straight down. Nelika hit the brush, her momentum carried her through the brush and she screamed until her body slammed into the rocks below just to the left of the Explorer.

"Sir, the driver just jumped out and it seems she did not know there was a cliff there. She is no doubt dead." the surveillance officer reported.

"We must be certain she is dead and we must find out who she is and search her residence and anything else she owns, did we get her information from the license plate, yet?"

"The SUV was a rental sir. We are receiving her information. It gives her address in Las Vegas and says her name is Janette Flynn."

"Let's get that search warrant and every last single thing about her and get to it, now."
